We've Got A Thumb-Sucker!!

We've noticed Simon has started sucking his thumb lately. He still uses the pacifier but seems to prefer the thumb...this could be a hard one to break further down the road.

What Are You Guys Up To?

Isabelle, Simon, and I went over to Holly's house today for a visit. Isabelle and Holly play quite well together. Every time they disappeared and it became silent, we had to go check on what they were up to. We caught them running upstairs in the bedroom, flossing their teeth in the bathroom, attempting to put on swim pants in the bedroom, and bouncing around on Holly's Dora bed. It was pretty funny to catch the Monkeys when they were up to something. Thanks for having us over!!

A Visit From Grandpa

Simon's first meeting with Grandpa at 11 weeks old.

Grandpa came over from Salt Spring Island for Remembrance Day and a visit. He used to be part of the Royal Westminster Regiment so this year was a special Remembrance Day ceremony for us. It was great having you over Grandpa...see you again soon!!

Happy Halloween

We took Isabelle to the mall again this year for Halloween. It's warm and safe for the kids so it's a great option to going outdoors. She was Tigger this year, a costume we borrowed from a friend. We didn't have the head piece so I painted her face and made little Tigger ears. She had a lot of fun with it. We were going to dress up Simon but decided he was just too small and we skipped the pumpkin carving this year too.

2 Months Old Today!!

I can't believe Simon is 2 months old already...time is just flying by!

Wiggles N' Giggles

We enrolled Isabelle in "Wiggles N' Giggles school" at our local community centre. Every Tuesday morning, Simon and I take her so that she can make crafts and play. She really enjoys her time there and always brings home creative projects to show Daddy.

If I had my baby pictures here, I could show you how much Simon looks like me (that's a hint Jiichan to scan those photos and send them). He looks identical to how I looked as a baby.

Catching A Smile On Film

I managed to catch a couple of smiles on camera today. Simon started smiling last week and sometimes it sounds like he is actually laughing. The funniest thing to watch is when he is laughing and smiling while dreaming. It makes me wonder what he is dreaming about...breastfeeding??? LOL!!

Simon was weighed and measured yesterday at his final midwife checkup. At 6-1/2 weeks, he weighs 14 lbs 2 oz and is 62 cm (24.5 inches) long. I was told he is the size of a 3 month old. I guess that explains why all of his clothing is 3-6 months already. He's going to be a big boy!
